Cultural News

The art world is constantly evolving. Exhibitions, discoveries, remarkable acquisitions, publications, art market events, spotlights on iconic artists and works: this section brings together the information that drives cultural news.

The Cultural Committee

For many years, the Syndicat des Négociants en Art (SNA) has been committed to promoting and sharing art with the wider public. Through its Cultural Committee, the SNA leads two flagship initiatives that are free of charge and open to everyone.

The SNA Art Book Prize

Since 2001, the Cultural Committee has organised the SNA Art Book Prize, awarded annually to the author of an illustrated publication dedicated to art. Supported by the Librairie du Louvre and endowed with a €5,000 prize, the award is presented during a ceremony held at the French Ministry of Culture.

Wednesday Lecture Series

Organised by the SNA and led by renowned speakers, this free lecture series, available by registration, offers engaging insights into major themes in art history, rare objects, and the professions of the art market. The 2025 programme has been postponed to 2026.

A New Lecture Series with Beaux-Arts Magazine

Continuing its cultural mission, the SNA is launching a new monthly lecture series in partnership with Beaux-Arts Magazine in 2025. Each event brings together a guest specialist and an SNA member expert, offering complementary perspectives and introducing audiences to the richness of artworks, their histories, and the expertise that shapes the art market. These lectures are free, open to all, and accessible upon simple online registration.
