A new identity for a changing market
Conceived and supported by the sector’s professionals, and voted by the Board of Directors, this evolution comes at a key moment: a time when the market is undergoing major economic, regulatory and international changes.
Since its creation, the SNA has supported the evolution of the sector while defending a common foundation: the transmission of knowledge, the protection of the interests of art market professionals, and training.
A clearer, more inclusive and more representative syndicate
Today, the Syndicate’s scope of action extends far beyond the historical field of antique dealers alone. It brings together professionals from ancient, modern and contemporary art, as well as decorative and non-European arts.
By choosing the name Syndicat des Négociants en Art, the SNA adopts a title that reflects the diversity of practices, the evolution of aesthetics and the broadening of markets.
A strong voice in response to new challenges
The Syndicate’s new name comes at a pivotal moment for the profession: customs uncertainties, the new European regulation on the import of non-European cultural goods, tax issues, traceability, and the circulation of artworks.
In response to these challenges, the Syndicat des Négociants en Art acts, makes proposals, raises awareness and supports its members with a clear, structured and forward-looking voice.
An essential player in cultural life
Art dealers are both transmitters of history and shapers of the future. They connect artworks with those who seek them, support major collections, engage in dialogue with museums and defend objects that bear witness to the richness of civilizations.
Through this new name, the SNA is opening a broader cycle of transformation, with a redesigned visual identity, a redevelopment of its digital tools, an enriched training programme and a strengthened influence strategy.
A committed, representative and unifying syndicate rooted in the field.
