Being an art dealer, gallerist or antique dealer is far more than a profession—it is a vocation driven by passion. It also means working in an environment that is constantly evolving. Regulations change, economic conditions shift, collectors' expectations evolve, and our profession must continually adapt.
In the face of these challenges, one conviction has guided me for many years: we are always stronger when we move forward together.
The Syndicat des Négociants en Art (SNA) is much more than a professional association. It is a community of women and men united by a shared ambition: to represent our professions, preserve our expertise and champion the interests of all those who contribute to the vitality of the art market.
Every day, we engage with public authorities, government agencies and our institutional partners to anticipate the legal, fiscal and regulatory developments that shape our profession. Much of this work takes place behind the scenes, yet it is essential. Our role is to anticipate change, support professionals and help ensure that tomorrow's challenges do not become obstacles to our businesses.
Our commitment is straightforward: to be genuinely useful to the professionals we represent. We inform, advise and support our members while defending their interests. We also welcome international galleries and art dealers who choose to exhibit, trade or establish their presence in France. As one of the world's leading art market centres, France should remain an attractive destination for professionals from around the globe, and the SNA is committed to being a trusted partner in navigating its professional, legal and regulatory landscape.
Our responsibility extends far beyond representing the profession. Art dealers, antique dealers and gallerists play a vital role in preserving cultural heritage, transmitting knowledge and enriching the cultural life of our country. Supporting our professions also means helping to ensure that France continues to hold its place among the world's leading centres for art and culture.
Serving as President of the SNA means carrying a collective voice. It is never an individual endeavour. Behind every initiative stands the voluntary commitment of a dedicated Board of Directors, the work of our committees, the professionalism of our permanent team and, above all, the trust placed in us by our members.
Our objective is clear: to make the SNA a trusted partner for its members and a recognised voice for the profession. We will continue to support the evolution of our sector, promote the highest professional standards and strengthen France's attractiveness for art professionals and collectors alike.
The challenges ahead are many, and they will continue to evolve. Yet I remain convinced that our greatest strength lies in our ability to unite, to engage in dialogue and to act together. This is how we will continue to uphold our professions, preserve our expertise and contribute to the vitality of the art market for generations to come.
Thank you for your trust, and welcome to the new website of the Syndicat des Négociants en Art.
