The Implementation of the European Regulation on the Introduction and Import of Non-European Cultural Goods

Stay ahead of legal developments in the art market: this new training session will provide you with all the key insights to understand and comply with the EU regulation on the importation of non-EU cultural goods.

Dear colleagues,

The next training session will focus on the implementation of the European Regulation governing the introduction and import of cultural goods originating from outside the European Union.

The application of this new European legislation is expected to have a significant and far-reaching impact on the market for non-European antiquities and archaeological objects, including works from Asia, Africa, Oceania, and South America.
With only a few months remaining before the regulation comes into force, we have invited Maître Pierre Valentin to provide a detailed presentation of its provisions, helping us better understand its many implications and direct consequences for our profession, the very real risks it poses to a number of specialties, as well as its impact on collectors.

Monday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m. (new schedule) – in French
Tuesday, April 15 at 5:00 p.m. – in English

We look forward to having you join us.
