AML/CFT Training — September 29, 2026
Exclusively for SNA members
This training session has been designed specifically for SNA members to help them gain a practical understanding of their obligations relating to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and asset-freezing requirements.
Beyond the legal principles, the session will provide practical answers to the questions galleries face in their day-to-day activities: which clients must be identified, which documents should be collected, how the level of due diligence should be adapted to the risk associated with a transaction, and how supporting documentation should be retained in the event of an inspection. Participants will leave with clear, practical guidelines that can be applied directly to their business.
The training will also draw on numerous examples based on real-life situations and money-laundering cases involving the art market. It will help participants identify the main red flags, better understand regulatory authorities’ expectations, and know how to respond when a transaction or client raises concerns.
Finally, this session addresses the increasing regulatory emphasis on staff training and helps protect both galleries and their directors from compliance risks. Its aim is to provide SNA members with the tools they need to demonstrate compliance, reduce the risk of penalties and prepare confidently for forthcoming changes to the European regulatory framework, which will apply from summer 2027.
