Le Cloître de l’Art

With a symbolist and mystical spirit, the gallery Le Cloître de l’Art presents a selection of drawings, engravings, paintings, and art objects—primarily from the 19th and 20th centuries (Maurice Chabas, Louis Janmot, Charles-Clos Olsommer, Elisabeth Sonrel)—periodically brought into dialogue with contemporary artists who share this universe. Carefully and creatively framed, the poetic gaiety of the Liberty Art Nouveau style meets the spirituality of the Lyon School and the Nabis, all contrasted by the mysteries of Franco-Belgian Symbolism and the folklore of the Slavic soul.

Committed to highlighting artists who have sometimes fallen into obscurity, the gallery publishes one to two monographic or thematic catalogues each year to accompany its temporary exhibitions.

Founded in 2021 by Salomé Fischer (winner of the 2025 Marcus Prize), Le Cloître de l’Art is a Parisian gallery located in the heart of the Drouot Art District, where historical art meets contemporary creation, offering our clientele a sanctuary of beauty and grace.
