Cultural Actions
The Cultural Commission - Chaired by Jean-Gabriel Peyre

For many years, the Syndicat des Négociants en Art (SNA) has been actively committed to making art more accessible and sharing its value with a wide audience. Through its Cultural Commission, it leads two major, free initiatives open to all:

The SNA Art Book Prize
Launched in 2001, this annual prize celebrates the author of an illustrated art book. Supported by the Louvre Bookshop and accompanied by a €5,000 award, it is presented during a ceremony at the Ministry of Culture (France).

The Wednesday Talks
Hosted by the SNA and led by top-level speakers, this series of free talks— open upon registration— offers engaging insights into major themes in art history, rare objects, and careers in the art market. The 2025 program has been postponed to 2026.

New in 2025: A series of talks in Partnership with Beaux-Arts Magazine
Continuing its cultural mission, the SNA is launching a new monthly series of talks in 2025, in collaboration with Beaux-Arts Magazine. Each session brings together a guest specialist and an SNA expert, offering a fresh perspective on the richness of artworks, stories, and expertise in the art world.

These events are free of charge, open to everyone, and available with a simple online sign-up.

Communication
To increase the visibility of its members, the SNA develops various communication tools to promote the activities of the profession and its members.

« Le Journal des Antiquaires et Galeries d’art », is a quarterly publication distributed at newsstands and circulated in more than 30,000 copies, online, and at all professional fairs, in association with the Journal des Arts.

A yearbook of antique dealers and art galleries, members of the Syndicate, will be published in November 2024 and distributed to members and major partner events. The promotion of members' news and professional updates on the Syndicate’s website, along with regular newsletters and posts on social media, complements the SNA's diverse communication actions.
