Galerie Flak, founded in 1990, specializes in ancient arts of Africa, Oceania and North America.
The gallery is located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris and receives visitors exclusively by appointment.
Julien Flak is the director of the gallery, a member of the SNA, and a certified expert in Native American Art and Oceanic Art with the European Chamber of Art Consultants and Experts (CECOA). He also serves as consultant and expert for several auction houses.
The gallery participates annually as an exhibitor in selected international fairs and events, including the BRAFA Art Fair in Brussels, Parcours des Mondes, Paris Tribal (of which Julien Flak served as President until 2024), and Sur Invitation at the Pagoda of C.T. Loo in Paris.
The gallery also stages a major exhibition every year. Recent exhibitions and publications include: L’Appel des Kachinas – Katsina Calling (2024); Poésie Féroce, Arts de Nouvelle-Irlande (2019); AfriCubisme, Regards croisés entre Art Africain et Cubisme (2018); Totems et Chamanes, arts anciens d’Alaska et de Colombie-Britannique (2008); Mumuye, Art du Nigeria (2006).
Since 2020, Galerie Flak has also been producing video content that combines scholarship and accessibility on the theme of ancient extra-European arts and cultures, including the ‘Discoveries Series’ and ‘Ask the Expert'.

La Galerie Flak renouvelle son rendez-vous estival en Provence.
Installée dans une bastide au pied de la Montagne Sainte-Victoire, l’exposition propose une sélection d’œuvres d’arts anciens des Amériques, d’Océanie et d’Afrique, dans un cadre mêlant art, design et nature.
Sur rendez-vous, Julien Flak reçoit les visiteurs tout l’été pour une découverte privilégiée de pièces rares issues de cultures lointaines.
