Situated just next to Place Vendôme, our elegant exhibition space in the heart of Paris attracts an international clientele. The intimacy of the upstairs gallery charms amateurs, collectors, and institutions. The gallery welcomes you every weekday and exhibits twice a year select unpublished works on paper and canvas which are mainly from 18th and 19th Century French school. Each exhibition is accompanied by well-documented catalogue. The gallery participates in the Biennale Paris since 2010 and in BRAFA since 2004. For the past few years, Alexis Bordes has been working on a catalogue raisonné of the œuvre of the wonderful portraitist Henri François Riesener.

The Alexis Bordes Gallery is delighted to present its new exhibition titled "Le Goût français" with the arrival of autumn. The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings from the 17th to the 20th century, confronting different artistic genres. Among the great portraitists and exceptional models, the exhibition revisits the art of still life with Jacques-Samuel Bernard, a painter of the Grand Siècle. The genre of landscape is also explored, ranging from intimate scenes to grandiose depictions, from the Norman houses of Jacques-Emile Blanche to the seascapes of Charles François Lacroix de Marseille.
