MEETING WITH CUSTOMS AUTHORITIES


In response to evolving regulations and the increasing complexity of obligations related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, the SNA has initiated a dedicated meeting with Customs representatives to:
Clarify the guidelines applicable to art dealers
Express the concrete challenges faced by professionals
Propose possible adjustments or simplifications

Topics to be addressed include:
– Sometimes contradictory interpretations of the regulations
– Recognition of standard procedural frameworks
– Obligations during fairs or when accepting card payments
– Late or unresolved inspections
– Issues related to databases and client verification

Objectives of this meeting:
To convey the realities of the field, advocate for a proportionate application of the rules, and provide answers to members’ questions.
