Jean-Edouard Carlier offers you to discover the art of Oceania, 2 Rue Visconti, at the gallery "Voyageurs & Curieux". Since its inauguration in 2001, the gallery presents a rigorous and extensive selection of objects from the Pacific islands chosen for their authenticity and beauty. The gallery participates in the "Parcours des Mondes" since the beginning of this event and also organized thematic exhibitions accompanied by a publication. In June 2021, the Voyageurs & Curieux gallery is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with an exhibition, accompanied by a catalog, devoted to the statuary of Melanesia. The exhibition will take place from June 17 to July 17, 2021 in the gallery's new exhibition space at 20, rue Mazarine in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés a few strides from the gallery of Visconti Street. From Papua New Guinea to New Caledonia, via New Ireland, New Britain or even Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands, a selection of twenty-one sculptures reflecting the vast stylistic diversity of Melanesia will be exhibited.
